Sotheby’s hosted a Montblanc & Signature International party yesterday in London.
Guests could admire a fantastic display of photographs from Montblanc’s World Exhibition Tour, which honors the work of twelve well known actresses who have lent their time to support UNICEFs efforts towards fighting education quality and illiteracy around the world.

This years ambassadors,who were photographed by Roger Moenks, included: Sienna Miller, Eva Longoria, Christina Ricci, Emily Blunt, Marcia Cross, Andie MacDowell, Helen Hunt, Lauren Hutton, Milla Jovovich, Jessica Lange, Susan Sarandon and Mira Sorvino.

Karl Lagerfeld designed the costumes for the Ballets Russes which debuted in London on Tuesday night.

The English National Ballet, which was founded by two former Ballet Russes dancers, has commissioned Karl Lagerfeld to design their costumes.

Lagerfeld has designed a series of costumes including a winged tutu for The Dying Swan, the famous four-minute solo originally choreographed for Ballet Russes dancer Anna Pavlova in 1905.

“As a child, I was impressed by old images of Pavlova dancing that ballet,” said Lagerfeld.

“I have seen his drawing of the tutu – it looks so light, almost alive. We always say that the look is 50 per cent of how you are going to dance, so it is very important to have a beautiful costume,” she said.

The English National Ballet performs Ballets Russes at Sadler’s Wells on 16–20 June.
